Argo Group is seeking an Actuarial Analyst in its US Operations Reserving division. The Actuarial Analyst will report to the VP of US Reserving Operations and be based in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities
Assist in the execution of US Operations reserve reviews under the direction of the VP – US Operations Reserving.
Prepare reserving related reports for US Operations Reserving including quarterly reserve meeting material.
Improvement of data and reports to increase the efficiency of the US Operations close process and associated reporting.
Skills
Basic knowledge of property/casualty insurance.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Ability to interact and work within a team environment and approach actuarial work as collaborative product.
Detail-oriented and able to quickly evaluate accuracy of information.
Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint).
Ability to work with various data software such as SQL, VBA and Power BI.
Experience with ResQ a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics or related field of study.
3+ exams of the Casualty Actuarial Society pursuing credentials.
2+ years of insurance industry experience preferably in property/casualty.
