About the Internship

On the Business Development (BD) team, we strengthen Uber’s position as the world’s leading mobility platform through creative and mutually beneficial commercial partnerships that unlock outsized value today and for many years to come. Within the team, Strategy & Planning (S&P) plays a key role in driving BD strategy forward by evaluating strategic business opportunities, analyzing and tracking programs and partnerships, and assisting in deal structuring and execution. This role sits within S&P for BD. 

With this internship, you will be working within Business Development to maintain and build processes that ensure we are a) properly sizing impact of new partnerships b) tracking deal performance in line with business growth expectations c) providing BD leadership and broader stakeholders with visibility on performance and d) analyzing data to identify trends and future opportunities. Processes include building new deal performance dashboards, tracking program analytics, supporting quarterly planning and business reviews.

What you’ll do

Manage, refine and launch tools that will improve current BD processes - deal performance tracking, metric and target definitions, analysis of program growth
Deep dive into specific programs (like Vehicles and Airports) to understand key growth metrics and ability of our partnerships to boost growth in key markets 
Evaluate partnership opportunities across several industries, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses
Work closely with deals leads to understand partnership goals, and support their financial modeling and analytics needs; ensuring deals serve company and BD  program strategy

In addition, this internship will encourage you to grow every day in project management, process creation and automation, and analysis. You will have hands-on experience and will collaborate with other regional and global teams.

Basic Qualifications

Written and spoken fluency in English
Currently enrolled or graduated in the last 6 months in a Masters or Bachelors degree 
Availability to work 6 months full time in 2021 starting June
Working rights in Netherlands  (No sponsorship available)

Preferred Qualifications

A prior internship experience working in a startup, tech company, or any kind of operations internship
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with experience with SQL and Excel / Google Sheets
