We are looking for an adaptive person to join our disaster operations, information management team. This person will work within and beyond the American Red Cross to integrate, share, analyze, and visualize data. This person spearheads cultural changes within the disaster operations part of the organization to increase data-driven decision-making and leads a data analytics community of practice within the American Red Cross.

This person will work within a disaster response environment and therefore must thrive in the face of ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities; and quickly learn and employ various information management systems. This person works with multiple cross-functional teams, lending expertise on databasing and visualization. The ideal candidate will have the ability to simultaneously: learn, teach, lead, and follow.

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

?Develop, train, and support a community of data-savvy volunteers
?Advise senior leaders using data visualization during active disasters relief operations
?Maintain existing data stores and build data models in SQL
?Create and maintain data visualizations using PowerBI
?Analyze and improve existing data processes and systems
?Support Disaster Relief Operations as necessary and be prepared to deploy as requested in support of service delivery.
Qualifications

Required:

?Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in relevant related field
?Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years required
?Experience taking on open-ended problems and delivering creative solutions
?Relational database management experience
?Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Visualization
?Experience with Office 365 suite
?Bachelors? degree or requisite experience
?Comfortable training and engaging with diverse groups
?Work with a team of analysts to validate and clean data being ingested into systems; design and build data visualizations; and conduct quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability.
?Provide support and troubleshooting of hardware/software issues
Preferred:

?Degree in Computer Science, business, information systems, statistics, or related technical field
?Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
?Background or experience with statistics and data science
?Experience with programming, scripting or statistical packages (Python, R, SQL, etc.)
?Experience with PowerApps, Power Automate, and SharePoint
For those candidates located in Colorado, the salary range for this position is: $83,380 - $94,435
