The Cloud and Datacenter business unit is looking for an experienced mixed-signal integrated circuit design leader to join our team in Austin TX, developing Maxim’s next-generation of high-performance multiphase VR controllers for the datacenter and communications market.
Job Description:
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Lead the design of multi-phase buck controller voltage regulator ICs to meet stringent specifications for CPU (Intel, AMD, AI ASICs ) for the datacenter market.
Lead the mixed-signal, digital, firmware and verification teams.
Work with product definition and customers to define the product requirements.
Write the design requirements, and work with test engineering, firmware, verification, etc. to incorporate the project requirements from each discipline.
Create and validate models to evaluate SMPS architectures using SIMPLIS/SIMetrix and behavioral models to allow top-down design methodologies.
Create transistor level design of circuits to meet specifications as well as accurate behavioral models (System Verilog, Wreal) for top-level simulations and top-down design flow methodologies.
Design analog and mixed-signal circuits including accurate voltage and current references, accurate voltage and transconductance amplifiers, switched-capacitor circuits, real-time clocks, ADCs (flash, SAR, and sigma-delta), DACs, charge pumps, and LDOs.
Verify designs using circuit-level, behavioral-level simulations, and top-level DMS and AMS verification.
Validate circuit performance in the lab and support test team to develop final test program for mass production.
Provide support to customers as they design your circuit into their end application.
Work closely with the cross-functional teams to influence definitions, architectures, and business decisions.
