Job Description
Robert Half Accounting and Operations has an excellent opportunity available for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional. We are seeking a self-started who has experience processing a high volume of weekly invoices, placing collection calls and maintaining the sub-ledger . Daily responsibilities include:
Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including AP, AR, and payroll liaison activities
Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers
Inputting timesheet data
Verifying documents and codes
Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports
Provides information as requested to shippers, customers, and internal business partners
Contacts existing clients to help resolve payment issues, collects on past due payments and assists in setting up payment plans
Requirements
Associated or Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
2+ years of relevant experience in AR or AP
Bookkeeping experience preferred
Collections experience or 1 year of Customer Service experience preferred
Strong analytical skills in basic accounts payable and accounting policy
Detail orients
Proficient in MS Office with strong Excel skills
