Summary
Were looking for RF Lab Manager / Technician to support the growing Instrument Engineering team along EPS responsibilities for the System RF org at Apple! This team of outstanding engineers designs and produces precision RF and Analog Test Equipment for use in calibrating and testing the Cellular, WiFi/BT and NFC radios in millions of iPhones, iPads, Macs and ?Watches. Each internal product is crafted to Apples exacting standards resulting in appealing test equipment that maintains the quality, accuracy and function of commercially available offerings.
Key Qualifications
? 2+ years of lab management experience in RF labs
? Experience with precision connectors (metrology/instrument grade) and connector care
? Experience organizing labs (test equipment, RF consumables) and handling inventory
? Soldering rework experience for SMT process flow
? Solid understanding of Mac OSX and Windows OS, MS Office and TCP/IP networking
? Should be well organized and have the ability to be flexible in a changing work environment
? Working experiences with vendors including purchasing, logistics, and procurement
? A passion for optimizing processes is a plus
Description
Candidate will handle and organize test equipment inventory and calibrations, maintain a database of test equipment allocation, lead and procure RF consumables (cables, adapters, attenuators etc.), implement a check-in/check-out system of test equipment, consumables and internal products. Candidate will setup and tear down RF test stations according to block diagrams, prioritize lab spaces for efficient usage and build best-practice lab guidelines for engineers to follow. Duties will also include SMT process solder rework and running internal products through RF test stations as needed. You should have experience implementing good lab management practices and tracking systems. Candidate will be responsible running capital & operational expense budgets, purchase requisitions, maintain invoice tracking and goods receipts. Candidate will also work closely with engineers, managers, and finance team to lead development budgets. Ensure on time delivery of vendor components or finish goods.
