IT Manufacturing DevOps Engineer (Experienced Level Professional)

Manage Manufacturing IT solution deployments across all technical environments, from development to production, using DevOps culture and IT practices:
• Ensure the availability and usability of the provided solutions
• Provide technical support for the building, installation, deployment and testing of the solutions by using the appropriate methods and tools and standards required for their activity
• Provide Level 3 technical support to operations teams and assist the project team in resolving deployment issues
• Prioritize required work and solutions based on a fundamental functional understanding of the manufacturing process, applications and data flows and their impact on plant results.
• Evangelize data driven culture within our team for the applications we are developing and deploying – supporting our team and customers.
KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS:
• Team performance : Demonstrates Lean and Agile values like cooperation, transparency, courage and humility to foster teamwork
• Continuous Integration : Apply CI/CD principles to allow for continuous integration and development.
• Test Automation : Insure Regression testing, performance testing and testing of critical functionality are automated and executed to the Test Plan.
• Configuration/Release Management : Manage the configuration of all solution artifacts (application code, system configuration, scripts, batch plan, supervision configuration…) from development environment to production environment.
• Automation Delivery and Packaging : ensure that continuous delivery of solutions is implemented. Provide the appropriate level of support and delivery of solutions to be consistent with project needs and business availability.
• Operability, affordability and security : The application is operable, sustainable, and protected by considering the Total Cost of Ownership and security needs
Qualifications / key skills:
5+ years project experience in a hands-on technical leadership position
4 year degree in IT or related fiel
Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
Creative thinker with a vision
Attention to details
Experience with database systems (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) and query languages (T-SQL, PL/SQL, etc.)
Expertise in data extraction, transformation, and data loading techniques, and demonstrated job experience with ETL software (ie. Talend, Mapforce)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred
Proficiency in Digital tools – Powerapps, PowerBI is strongly valued.
Experience using JIRA, Visio, and other project documentation tools is desired.
Understanding of cloud technologies, API, Kubernetes, Automated testing tools, ITIL is a plus
Potential or interest in pursuing status within Michelin as a Distinguished Engineer or IT Expert.
