Job Overview
 

The Maintenance Technician at Keurig Dr Pepper is responsible for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvement of process equipment.  Maintenance technicians must be highly quality-conscious, aggressively self-directed, motivated team players, and willing trainers—eager to gain and share new knowledge. 

Shift / Schedule: D1: Mon, Tues, Wed, alternating Thur : 6 a.m. - 6:15 p.m. 

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment.

Perform various equipment preventive maintenance tasks (i.e., cleaning, inspection, and lubrication) as necessary, but routinely in cases requiring advanced technical expertise and knowledge of safety procedures (e.g., electrical cabinets, machine interiors, etc.).
Thoroughly document maintenance activity using the maintenance database, adequately communicate maintenance issues to appropriate employees (e.g., other maintenance techs, operators, engineers, supervisors, etc.), and properly utilize the maintenance inventory system.
Champion process improvement in assigned areas by analyzing equipment maintenance history, identifying significant causes of waste, coordinating with appropriate employees to develop root-cause solutions, and providing maintenance assistance as necessary.
Provide Preventative Maintenance support for plant and equipment
Repair and maintain items necessary to maintain process equipment in “Grade A” condition 
Maintain safe clean work areas and comply with all safety requirements
Assist in day-to-day support of operators, adjustments, setups, and change over
Assist maintenance techs as required
Consistently meets internal/external customer expectations through teamwork, respect, positive and effective communication, and a willingness to help and support others.
Participate on improvement teams and coordinate with engineers and vendors on special projects
Responsible to report food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance concerns to management.
Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by Keurig Dr Pepper and the department.
Performs other duties as requested by management.


Requirements
 

• Completion of Industrial Maintenance degree or certificate preferred.

• Formal manufacturing maintenance education and/or 1 year of related manufacturing maintenance experience.

• Demonstrated advanced mechanical /electrical skills (PLC troubleshooting and Robotics skills preferred).

• Ability to read and understand complex instructions, prints, flowchart, block diagram, and schematics.

• Ability to competently use and understand precision testing and diagnostic equipment.

• Experience using e-mail, job databases, spreadsheets, and CMMS, such as SAP.

• Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) experience preferred.

• Packaging experience is preferred.

• High speed automation experience preferred.

• Yellow / Green Belt training preferred

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Ability to lift 75 pounds frequently with mechanical assistance
Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to constantly lift, bend, stretch and stand during entire shift
Ability to push/pull up to 1.500 pounds using supplied equipment
Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, and stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions
Significant keyboarding/computer work required (25% of the workday).
