Working out of our Chevy Chase, MD/Washington DC office, our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department manages the planning and budgeting process for the organization and provides financial forecasts and analysis for management decisions. As a Corporate FP&A Analyst you will help lead the development, maintenance, and interpretation of predictive models to improve our forecasting processes and help determine the impact of KPIs on financial outcomes. You will also be challenged to lead analytical projects while having the opportunity to develop thoughtful and innovative solutions to address our business needs.
Successful candidates will be inquisitive, independent, and display strong modeling and analytical skills.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability in mathematical, statistical, financial, or economic analyses on large and complex datasets
Expert finance and business background with direct experience using planning platforms preferred
Advanced quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills
Excellent quality, communication, and creative thinking skills
Excellent organization, project, and time management skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong knowledge, utilization of, and ability to learn software tools and languages such as SAS, SQL, Excel, Aginity, R, and Python
Demonstrated ability in multivariate classification and regression techniques; experience with Xgboost, Prophet, decision trees, and/or machine learning preferred
Master’s degree or equivalent preferred. Pursuit of CPCU and/or FP&A certification strongly encouraged
Additional expectation of senior analysts:
Trains and mentor junior analysts while working in a collaborative environment
Leads projects with guidance from your management team
Acts as a subject matter expert in multiple areas regarding the impact of KPIs and forecasting in general
