Job Description

Position Summary:

The Data Management Supervisor is responsible for providing guidance to the Master Data Management team through coaching, motivation, and professional development.  The ideal candidate will require little to no supervision, while being a mentor for those who are looking for additional support.  The successful Supervisor will recognize struggling employees, ensure employee questions are addressed, and escalate risks and concerns appropriately.  This position will work closely and cross-functionally with business operations teams to support multiple departments and business segments.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise, motivate, and mentor a team of Data Management professionals; including selection, performance management, and time & expense approval of team members
Offer direct guidance and assistance to Data Management staff members, paying attention to areas of opportunity for growth (technical and professional)
Work closely with HR and senior management on professional development plans for staff members
Supervise the PNC P Card program and Expense Reporting process (Workday)
Ensure accurate and timely year end reporting and filing of 1099 reporting
Ensure accurate and timely filing of unclaimed property reporting and payment requirements
Prepare and/or oversee the AR cash forecast specific to the Water Solutions business segment
Serve as Subject Matter expert (SME) on Corporate T&E policy, P-Card policy, Gift policy; prepare and recommend policy revisions as appropriate; ensure adequate employee training is available for compliance with these policies.
Serve as backup to Workday expense, Oracle Cloud, and RightAngle setup functions
Assist with fulfillment of requests by Internal Audit and external auditors
Manage the supplier and customer deactivation process for inactive suppliers and customers per standard operating guidelines
Make recommendations and participate in discussions and evaluation of proposed process improvements
Work cross functionally with internal departments, especially Accounting and IT, to find resolutions and automate processes, evaluate new systems, and support upgrades and tool implementations
Monitor RightAngle and Oracle Cloud supplier and customer email boxes; prioritize and distribute workload to drive accuracy and volume expectations across team members
Create status reports and ad-hoc reports for management
Proactively and appropriately escalate issues for resolution by business operations leaders
Audit work that is completed by staff as needed to ensure accuracy and compliance with established processes and standards
Troubleshoot and research issues found within cash forecasting variance reports, ensuring completion and communication of resolution
Work professionally and proactively with business segment leaders to find solutions and resolve issues without compromising established policies or department standards
Maintain awareness of industry standards and best practices and make recommendations
Foster a strong, trusting relationship with field staff, Corporate personnel, and applicable vendors and customers; Serve as the escalation point of contact for various internal and external customers
Perform other duties and miscellaneous projects as assigned
This position requires physical presence at the work site during regularly scheduled hours.  Evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required as needed.

Experience/Education:

Minimum of 5 years of AP experience is required; experience in the energy industry is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field is required

A combination of education to include a relevant Associates Degree and additional progressive work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Excel proficiency – Advanced skill level is strongly preferred
Previous GL Accounting experience is preferred
RightAngle experience is preferred
Recent Oracle 11i, Oracle Cloud, or other large ERP experience is preferred

Travel:

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00
