Job Description

This recruiter will build relationships to ensure a consistent pipeline for growing customer service department.
Must be able to identify areas of opportunity to improve processes, tools & practice is positively impact the bottom line.
Partner with Human Resource peers to problem solve and meet staffing needs.
Implementation of recruiting strategies and metrics that improve the bottom line.
Attendance at local and out of state college job fairs as the CRST representative.  
Ability to work across HR functions to support hiring & retainment initiatives as needed.

We are growing and have a significant role to play in the organization.   We need a member of our team who wakes up in the morning and looks forward to contributing and comes in to roll up their sleeves and make a difference.   This role will be 40-45 hours a week, hours may vary based upon projects, and workload.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred along with 3-5 years of high volume recruiting experience
Extensive, proven recruiting experience hiring all levels of employees – front line to middle management
PHR strongly preferred
Excellent computer skills in MS Office products (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) & HRIS systems

Our Roots

In 1955, Herald and Miriam Smith started Cedar Rapids Steel Transport out of a refurbished chicken coop they bought for $125.

At the time, they had no trucks and no customers, but Herald, known as “Smitty,” convinced firms he could save them money. He contracted with owner/operators who were hauling livestock to Chicago to return to the Cedar Rapids area with loads of steel instead of empty trucks. Family-owned to this day, CRST has evolved from a trucking firm to one of the nation’s leading providers of transportation solutions.
