Specific Responsibilities
The Workover Lead, for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Workover team at the company’s Sundown, office reporting to the Workover and P&A Manager.
This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Be familiar with Apache Standard Operating Procedures and ensure these are applied to all workover rig jobs.
Be familiar with Apache Supervisor’s Safety and Health Compliance and State Environmental Compliance Manuals and ensure that these policies are followed on each job
Review all repair procedures and methods with Production Foreman/Local EH&S technicians to ensure that safety hazards and environmental impact(s) are minimized
Provide supervisory duties for safe and efficient workover operations, as well as contractors and other Apache employees on well location.
Manage workover operations optimally to extend runlife and ultimately reduce LOE leading to increased free cash flow.
Strong communication skills with the Production Foreman to provide necessary job updates outside of the daily WellView report that are communicated to the Production Engineering team.
Coordinate and organize workovers and maintenance jobs per the approved workover rig schedule.
Must be able to support workover operations regionally for multiple AOMs as rig resources will work for multiple Production Foreman. Workover Supervisor will stay with the rig they are responsible for.
Support and participate in any SORTS critique’s related to any well work on the workover rig they are responsible for.
Provide input on selection of key vendors and, work closely with the Production Foreman to select vendors to provide materials and services for necessary operations to meet safety expectations and optimize job costs.
Monitor the performance of service contractors, consultants and vendors and provide updates to Area Operations Manager/Production Foreman as requested.
Ensure control & integrity of the well during all well operations.
Perform/Coordinate all dismantle to determine root cause of failure for failed equipment per Production Foreman/Production Engineer request
Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of WellView reports for all well work that is supervised. (Daily Operations/Initial Failure Details/Tubing and Rod Detail)
Professional Qualifications & Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required
5+ years of related workover rig supervision experience required.
Must be proficient in computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook
Excellent communication and grammar skills, exhibited both in conversation and written materials
Current Well Control Certification
