What youll do

The Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) organization embodies the hub of lifecycle engineering at TJX, delivering, maintaining, and optimizing our technology portfolio at cloud scale. We are a service-oriented team and our goal is to provide outstanding experiences to thousands of TJX associates, business partners, and application delivery teams across the portfolio.

As a Principal Architect within the I&O organization, you will need to support our digital transformation. Continue to help our organization grow our engineering culture, through hands on as well as strategic approaches. The Principal Architect role will be very influential in the larger executive leadership team as we craft our strategy for the future of the organization. This position needs to live DevOps and analytics, understand how to apply those principles and have experience disrupting the silos that may exist in a bi-modal world. This role will require someone needs to be excited by the opportunity to learn, teach and grow our organization as we adopt IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and transform our infrastructure into a hybrid cloud.

What youll need

We seek creative, customer-focused individuals with technical expertise and a mindset for continuous improvement. We rethink how software and infrastructure are delivered at cloud scale, and work closely with other teams to improve key services.

* 3+ years of progressive experience performing definition and implementation of enterprise solutions using a leading software and hardware platforms in a cloud enabled infrastructure;
* Experience with COTS on-prem to SaaS evolution and digital transformation;
* Experience influencing larger scale organizations to adopt new technologies, operating models, standards and practices;
* Experience developing DevOps IaC templates & scripts using Ansible, PowerShell, BASH, etc;
* Understanding of networking technologies such as DNS, Firewalls, Load-Balancers, etc;
* Familiarity with application performance monitoring technologies, such as DynaTrace, App Insights, etc.
