As the Manager, Learning and Development, you will work with the Intermodal and Drayage business unit in North America to drive training and talent development programs to meet their unique needs.

What youll do on a typical day:

* Partner with Senior Business Leadership, Talent Development leadership, Sales Learning and HR team members to drive impactful learning and development projects into the XPO Intermodal and Drayage organization.
* Be able to champion and drive process improvement projects and challenge the business to eliminate duplicative process and waste in the business units departmental functions
* Assess the developmental needs of the departments and provide recommendations, training designs, and plans to drive impact business effectiveness.
* Select and manage programming and vendors to drive leadership, onboarding, safety, customer service and systems excellence across the business unit.
* Create and curate content from various business partners to ensure alignment and consistency with organizational standards while meeting the operational needs of the business.
* Create, facilitate and evaluate new hire and employee development events and programs including role play exercises, meetings, training events, coaching calls, etc.
* Partner directly with Technology to drive efficient adoption and usage of operational systems.
* Propose, document and track key performance metrics associated with business activities and provide guidance to the business leaders on impact and opportunities.
* Partner directly with HR to deliver Talent Development year-over-year planning including facilitating talent reviews, sourcing participants in high potential programs, slating promotions, etc.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, youll need:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
* 1-year experience in a learning and development role

Itd be great if you also have:

* Bachelors or other advanced degree with emphasis in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Supply Chain Management
* 3+ years experience
* 1-3 years of logistics or transportation experience
* Understanding of Human Resources best practices
* Experience in instructional design and performance consulting, facilitation, instruction, and development planning
* Experience in process improvement, change management, program management and project planning
