Seeking a Therapist with a passion for working with children with mental health, emotional, and behavioral issues. We invite you to join our team! Oak Plains Academy is a comprehensive and highly structured 90-bed residential treatment center located on 25 acres of rolling hills in Ashland City, Tennessee. Oak Plains provides psychiatric and neurological treatment services for males and females, ages 5-17, who have significant history of emotional or behavioral issues. The clinical programs at Oak Plains Academy have been designed to address the needs of children and adolescents with a primary psychiatric/ neurological diagnosis. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan, geared to meet their personal needs. A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers work closely with each resident to assist them to achieve there therapeutic and education goals. Qualifications

The Clinical Therapist has an assigned caseload for whom he/she provides individual, family, and group therapy, case management services; representation at treatment team meetings and daily operations, conducts utilization review and performs discharge planning as needed, and completes timely documentation for services provided. Key Responsibilities: Meet/ Greet new admits within 24 hours of admission. Conduct psychosocial assessments with residents upon admission to facility within 72 hours of admission to the facility. Provide individual, group, and family therapy. Collaborate with other staff in coordinating therapeutic services. Coordinate activities to ensure that treatment plan goals and objectives are met. Maintain accurate, complete, timely, and appropriate clinical records and other required information. Maintain communication with external stakeholders (i.e. case managers, referral, probation, including court appearances as needed, etc.) Develop Master Treatment Plans upon admission and updates in conjunction with the treatment team. Coordinate with other staff to evaluate the needs of the child and obtain resources to meet those needs. Conduct insurance reviews as required by each child? S funding source as needed. Complete discharge planning to include recommendations, approval from guardians, and at times, arranging discharge plans. Demonstrate appropriate use of Handle with Care, Verbal De-Escalation, and the TF-CBT approach in session, in the milieu, and in the classroom. On-Call Rotation as needed by facility to meet requirements of all governing agencies. Other services as needed. Demonstrate all Service Excellence Standards and Principles. Position Requirements: The Clinical Therapist position requires a minimum of a Masters Degree in Psychology, or Social Work, or related field from an accredited graduate program. Willingness to seek licensure within defined period of time. Physical Demands: Moderate to heavy. Satisfactory health, strength and stamina to meet the physical, mental and emotional demands and stressors that position requires: walking, running, standing, lifting, irregular working hours, and assisting with the restraint This position requires use of Handle with Care protective hold procedures as a last resort for protection of residents and staff.
