The Environmental Service Tech/Housekeepre maintains a clean and safe environment for all staff, patients and visitors. Daily cleans and disinfects all areas of the hospital. Ensures all trash and soiled linen is picked up twice a day. To give good quality customer service to all patients, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Complies with all safety procedures.

2. Maintains a clean and safe environment.

3. Daily supplies clean linen to all units.

4. Pass all housekeeping inspections.

5. Trash and soiled linen is picked up twice a day.

6. Attend all training and in-services required.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Must be 18 years of age. Must be able to read and write in English. Ability to work a rotating shift and work areas. Knowledge of floor machines and use of cleaning chemicals. Understand the importance of good customer service and patient confidentiality. Ability to perform essential functions.

EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: None

EXPERIENCE: One year of housekeeping experience. Prefer experience in a health care environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.

* Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination.

* Occasionally requires lifting items up to 40 pounds.

* Requires frequent pushing, pulling, kneeling, stooping and constant bending.

* Requires repetitive use of hands.

* Requires hearing and vision sufficient to perform essential functions.

* Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
