Responsibilities

Centennial Hills Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in northwest Las Vegas, the 336-bed hospital offers a wide range of healthcare services including emergency care, surgical services, cardiovascular and neurological care, women's health, maternity and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, and specialty programs in stroke, chest pain, orthopedics, advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine, and outpatient physical therapy.

Job Description:

Responsible for the delivery of respiratory therapy modalities and respiratory assessments to patients of all ages in all patient care areas, excluding critical care, NICU and Labor & Delivery. Performs responsibilities independently and without supervision except as necessary during orientation or training.

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Technician/Therapist program.

Technical Skills:

Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department and provide the care/service as described in the department policies and procedures.

License/Certification:

Current State of Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care license. Current State of Nevada Blood Gas Technologist, Blood Gas Assistant, or General Supervisor license. Must have applied for Blood Gas License and receive within ninety (90) days of hire. Current BCLS

Other:

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
