Havenwyck Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Utilization Management Support Specialist, to join our team of compassionate and dedicated clinical professionals.

The Utilization Management Support Specialist is responsible for the clerical functions in the Utilization Management Department, provides administrative support for the department and is under the supervision of the Director of Utilization Management.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

* Acts as administrative support for the department, prints reports, takes meeting minutes, answers main Utilization Management telephone, takes messages and delivers them.
* Completes nonclinical data entry for discharges in MIDAS and various payer systems.
* Faxes/ mails discharge packets.
* Assists with the Appeal process by faxing/mailing appeals, scanning/uploading Denial/Appeal letters and updating MIDAS entries.
* Assists in the tracking and uploading of Medicare Certificates.
* Inventories and orders supplies for the department.
* Makes copies when requested.
* Brings mail to department and takes outgoing mail to the mail room.
* Inputs requests for Plant Operations and assures follow up.

Qualifications

* High School diploma required.
* Experience in hospital clerical functions preferred.
* Proficiency in Excel and Word required.
* MIDAS or other Electronic Health Record experience preferred.
* Employees must be in good standing (employment/corrective action history, performance evaluations, etc.) to be considered for an internal transfer.
