River Oaks Hospital is looking for a dynamic Nurse Practitioner! River Oaks Hospital is located in metropolitan New Orleans, Louisiana, is a private psychiatric facility for adults and adolescents. Since 1970, River Oaks has established a tradition of excellence in the treatment of acute psychiatric illness, dual diagnosis, alcohol and drug detoxification, trauma based disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders, River Oaks has provided quality treatment to service individuals suffering from mental illness, and/or addictive disorders. Situated on a 14-acre campus, services are available at all levels of care (inpatient, day or partial hospitalization, outpatient, and intensive outpatient). We provide a wide range of services and programs that offer evidence-based treatment proven to have positive outcomes for our patients. Our inpatient and outpatient services offer supportive and compassionate care through specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients. Our mission is to provide safe, effective, and compassionate mental health and substance use treatment. Our Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients and families, and supervising assigned team members.

Qualifications

JOB DESCRIPTION:

* Perform History and Physical Exams.
* Document exams per hospital and CMS guidelines.
* Round on patients (children/adolescents) as needed
* HOURS: This position is per diem and offers a flexible work schedule based on the applicant and facility needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

* Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing; current licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nurses. Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) Specialty Licemse required
* Must purchase and maintain active Medical Professional Liability Occurrence Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence/$6,000,000 aggregate. River Oaks Hospital will reimburse for the insurance premium upon presentation of the insurance certificate and receipt of paid premium.
* Must meet and maintain credentialing requirements and maintain membership to River Oaks Hospital's Medical Staff
* Ability to clearly speak, write and understand verbal and written English. Selected skills/credentials as defined by the department's scope of services.
