At ChemPoint, the Infrastructure Engineer aids in the architecture, development, implementation, and maintenance of our client, core, and enterprise infrastructure on a global level, including data center, cloud computing, desktop services, mobile devices, communication, and operating system strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced developer to join an agile and growing team. You will assist in developing processes, policies and procedures that improve efficiency, reduce security concerns and minimize exposure to risk. The ideal candidate is able to adapt to emerging technology and strengthen the efficiency and flexibility of our assets. Your ability to mentor our Enterprise Technology and Client Support Teams while assisting with daily support tickets, as point of contact or escalation point, is imperative.
Key Deliverables:
* Work with Technology Manager, Infrastructure, and Service Desk to implement a scalable system to support our growing list of applications on a global basis
* Assist in identifying opportunities to utilize emerging technology that will increase efficiency and flexibility
* Assist in the development and implementation of scalable enterprise (server, network) and client architecture
* Maintain production and stage systems
* Acts as a lead on Active Directory, Group Policy, Systems Center Suite and managing all network equipment
* Work with development teams to architect delivery of global SaaS offerings
* Take lead and manage the current SAN environments
* Take lead on the virtualization infrastructure (Private and Cloud) management
* Take lead on the enterprise networking infrastructure
* Develop and maintain documentation including server build docs, configuration standards, and infrastructure architecture
* Assist in identifying business continuity risk exposure of unplanned downtime
* Work with the Infrastructure Manager to ensure complete security and availability of all aspects of our technology
* Participates in an on call support 24/7 rotation for all the enterprise infrastructure
Candidate Portfolio:
* 3-5+ years work experience in Infrastructure or Operations role or equivalent work experience supporting a production environment
* Experience managing and designing solutions in Azure strongly desired
* Experience developing infrastructure automation using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar tools
* Strong understanding and ability to design network systems. Network+, CCNA, or equivalent certificate desired.
* Experience managing Linux and open source technology in a production environment
* Distinguishable experience managing Windows infrastructure and Active Directory in an enterprise scale environment
* Experience with Palo Alto network security devices or equivalent enterprise firewall experience
Other Considerations:
* Four-year degree or equivalent years of work experience preferred
