ProAg has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer to join our team in our Maple Grove, MN office. Position Summary:
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be focusing on continuous integration and continuous deployment. You will primarily work independently researching and developing new software programs and validating the viability while trying to improve our technical stack. Your role will be behind the scenes applying technical updates to support our business.
Reporting to the Software Development Director, you will rely on your broad experience and judgement to design, develop, code, test, debug, document, and support software applications to satisfy requirements. You will apply your good judgement and understanding of technologies and tools including C.NET, Angular for .NET, JavaScript, TFS, SharePoint, Azure and more.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and document software designs that emphasize usefulness/usability, stability, performance, and reusability.
* Collaborate with Architects and Development teams to design larger subsystems.
* Convey recommendations on priorities, design changes, improvements, and problem resolutions.
* Continuously ensure design and development incorporates reliability, security, serviceability, maintainability, usability, performance factors, business objectives and overall level of quality.
* Perform assessments and evaluations on systems to monitor and resolve issues. Alter and modify current software programs when needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Lead Software Engineer position will have demonstrated success in the primary areas of focus and responsibility.
* Experience Ideally, the successful candidate will have:
* Six years of relevant and progressive professional experience. This experience including in Analysis, Design and Development skills.
* Educational Requirements. The ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience.
* Experience in developing reusable code including basic frameworks used throughout a development group.
* Experience with and proven ability of the following: process modeling, data modeling, systems development methodologies, performance tuning, and application monitoring.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
* Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to the applicable area of the Companys business to proactively respond to changing business environment.
