Responsibilities

* System and/or component design and specification
* Creation of schematic diagrams
* Electrical routing
* System and component testing and performance validation
* Production and prototype build support
* Maintains awareness of technical issues and provides feedback to management
* Involves Electronic Circuit Designs, Schematic Capture
* Will control electrical system design, functional logic, electrical component requirements and selection.
* Plan projects and monitor progress against program objectives, document designs, liaison with suppliers and with other disciplines.
* Setup, perform, and document tests on components and machines.
* Participate in meetings and presentations, brainstorming ideas and communicating engineering concepts to individuals from all disciplines

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* Minimum Associates degree in applicable engineering discipline with 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment; candidates with a Bachelors degree in applicable engineering disciplines with experience gained from curriculum and/or internships can be considered for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

* Minimum of 1-3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
* Proficient with AutoCAD, Electronic Schematic Capture.
* Knowledge of vehicle communication buses (J1850, J1939, or CAN), UART, RS232, RS485 etc.
* Experience with microcontroller based control systems for control of electrical and hydraulic devices.
* Skilled in electrical component and system design and analysis.
* Knowledge of machine operator inputs, sensors, control modules, electronic/electrical components and application software development and processes.
* Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement.
* Commitment to Lean Manufacturing.
* Experience specifying mobile equipment components including: CAN-bus, sensors, switches, displays, drive controls, hydraulic controls, wiring harnesses, etc.
* Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software (experience with NG-NX, E3 and AutoCAD desired, but not required).
* Proficient in C/C++ for Embedded Software Development.
