Position summary:

The Business Analysis Sr. Manager is responsible for building strong collaborative relationships with the Trauma & Extremities (T&E) teams with a specific focus on the T&E based teams. He/She will work closely with the T&E IS Business Partner to ensure consistency in the customer relationship in the Americas scope.

He/She will be responsible for providing knowledge and expertise to department heads, process owners and IT leads in identifying opportunities for technology solutions and supporting prioritization. The Business Analysis Sr. Manager possess an understanding of complex business needs and processes and acts as a liaison between the business and technical teams. They establish and improve business analysis processes and mentor business architects and business analysts. They are responsible for understanding and improving business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and coordinating communication among various business groups and IT technical teams for critical and complex projects. Individuals in this position have a broad understanding of business processes, subject matter expertise and experience working with multiple technologies, and have demonstrated the ability to work with users at all levels in the business.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong relationship with the T&E division and act as a liaison between the T&E IT Business partner, IS teams and the T&E Division.

Build a strong understanding of the commercial processes (including sales, marketing, and other associated functions) within the T&E division and apply this understanding to IS strategies and implementations

Improve the business analysis function through best practices, process management, mentoring, and education.

Manage relationships with high level business stakeholders.

Partner with business and technical teams to drive consensus on the best solution to business

problems and the delivery of new solutions and enhancements

Collaborate with business units beyond the IT organization to establish sound business practices for a global team.

Execute and partner with leaders to assist in developing the overall strategy of the T&E division and IT partnership

Define tangible use cases that align desired technology output to commercial objectives.

Ensure clear communication between business stakeholders and IT technical teams.

Lead collaborative effort for business case development

Education & special trainings:

Bachelors degree required

Bachelors in Business Administration or Computer Information Systems preferred

Master of Business Administration preferred

Qualifications & experience:

Minimum 10 years of professional experience is required

Extensive knowledge of medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IS requirements is preferred.

Experience working with business leaders is required.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control.

Experience with process mapping is required.

Experience documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.

Experience understanding, evaluating, and recommending changes to business processes are required.

Experience working in an agency-regulated environment is required.

Expertise of Agile Development methodologies is preferred.

Experience with formal Project methodologies is preferred

Experience developing strategic business process methodologies to drive collaboration and business results

Demonstrated understanding of cross-divisional business needs and working strategically with multiple facets of a global business.

Physical & mental requirements:

Demonstrated strong communication and influencing skills oral, written, listening, executive presentations

Demonstrated ability to partner with business representatives at all levels to identify needs, define and document requirements, and drive solutions

Demonstrated ability to guide the business towards optimal solutions

Experience in identifying opportunities for process optimization, process redesign, or development of new process/policies

Demonstrated ability to maintain clear communication channels with IS and business stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience

Demonstrated ability to convert complex business functions into technical specifications
