Primary Purpose:

Manages and supervises the analysis of accounting rules and regulations, and preparation of reports and policies related thereto. Performs accounting and reporting technical research related to complex transactions for the company, implementation of new accounting standards, and management of large and cross-functional accounting research projects across various departments and business units.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manages the interpretation and analysis of new accounting principles and regulatory decisions from the Financial Accounting Standards Board, Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the California Public Utility Commission and&x2f;or other authoritative bodies which formulate or have jurisdiction over financial reporting or accounting matters, to assess the accounting impact. * Manages the implementation of accounting rule&x2f;regulatory changes to ensure compliance.&xa;Provide accounting research and guidance as needed in response to requests from functional accounting areas throughout the company. * Keeps up-to-date on new innovative accounting and reporting methods and reviews proposed or alternate accounting and financial reporting procedures. * Investigates consequences of each method and recommends appropriate format for Company reporting. * Participates in the determination of the reporting impact of accounting and reporting changes and manages steps necessary to implement adjustments to ensure accurate reporting. * Manages the development of Company and&x2f;or industry positions relative to financial reporting and accounting issues and reviews responses to the authoritative rule-making bodies, when appropriate, in an effort to influence the final outcome. * Participates in hiring and promoting subordinate employees within the accounting research and policy group&x3b; trains, assigns, directs and reviews their work. * Complies with Company affirmative action programs to achieve equal employment opportunity objectives. * Performs other duties as assigned.

Its assets/facilities consisted of 1,353 miles of natural gas transmission pipelines, 12 compressor stations, 139 miles of ethane pipelines, 118 miles of LPG pipelines, and 1 LPG storage terminal. The company was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in San Diego, California.
