Job Description

DUTIES:

Builds scalable and reliable ETL systems to pull large and complex data together from different systems efficiently.

Maintains databases and data systems.

Works with solution architects to develop ETL/Data integration/data processing flows.

Collaborates with other data engineers and data architects to build optimal and efficient ETL and database code.

Produces dynamic, data driven solutions to support the strategic business goals.

Collaborates with data architects to design ETL architecture patterns, which are performant.

Implements error handling, data manipulation and I/O processing.

Interprets data and analyzes results using statistical techniques. Provides reports regularly.

Develops and implements data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.

Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets.

Filters and cleans data, reviews computer reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.

Creates detailed business requirements for functional (e.g., business processes, rules) and non-functional (e.g., data, security) capabilities.

Locates and defines new process improvement opportunities.

Supports ETL batch processing.

Provides on-call support of data integration batch processes on a rotating basis and other on-call as required.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering (any), or related.

Seven (7) years of required IT, or related experience must include: Five (5) years of experience with ETL in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or Informatica or Ab Initio. Experience must also include: ETL concepts and building ETL solutions; Data warehousing concepts; Data integrations patterns/technologies; Oracle SQL & PL/SQL; Oracle & SQL database platforms; Building low latency integration solutions; Physical performance optimization of Oracle/SQL database; Reporting tools such as tool- SSRS, Oracle reports or Tableau; Business Intelligence application - BI Publisher/OBIEE; and Data mining methodologies and concepts.
