Responsibilities:
Performs a wide variety of skilled mechanical/millwright duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and modify mechanical equipment and facilities
Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments
Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment and systems requiring the isolation of the malfunction, disassembly of equipment and repair/replacement of bearings, gears, structural components, etc.
Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems
Specific responsibilities include: Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, boiler systems, valves and the ability to perform equipment alignments
Plan and execute maintenance tasks, and completion of all follow-up documentation
Complete some repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems
Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance database
Plan and execute maintenance tasks, and completion of all follow-up documentation
Write maintenance procedures and update as needed
Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance database
Coordinate Contractor work independently including purchasing (e.g. requesting POs), contractor job supervision, closing out jobs
Support outage, retrofit/upgrades, major maintenance and spares and inventory planning by developing work scopes, understanding relevant equipment, and project execution. Participate in re-life/ new equipment commissioning
Maintenance and PM work related to the PHMSA DOT pipeline- e.g. line locating, pipeline patrols, responding to dig requests, tracking PMs, Contributing to regulatory and internal audits
Support plant operations and troubleshooting including unplanned startups, shutdowns, and plant upsets
Understand plant operations and be familiar with operator responsibilities, and ability to cross-train to support shift coverage when needed
Support Management of Change protocols for equipment and processes
Demonstrate ability to be a safety leader by fostering a strong safety culture and ensure safe work environment with a commitment to zero injuries
Follow the Permit-to-Work system, including issuing permits, supervising work, participating in LOTO of equipment to make it safe to work
Work with the operations team to identify, investigate and correct root causes of incidents and near misses to ensure unsafe conditions are prevented in the future
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years maintenance experience in an industrial production environment
Knowledge of skilled trades, Journeyman Millwright/Machinist experience preferred
High School Diploma/GED required; Associates degree preferred
Ability to interpret equipment drawings required
On-call ability required, to support 24/7 operations
Willing to support multiple Linde facilities within the North Salt Lake City area.
Willing to support other Linde facilities on occasion. Opportunities may exist for travel outside the region
Functional computer skills required. E.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. Ability to learn and navigate internal systems
