This job role will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and administration of PayPals Enterprise job scheduling platforms. This is technical lead position in Big Data Engineering team data reliability and engineering team. The candidate will provide technical leadership to Batch data operations and job scheduling team members, drive technical upgrades around job scheduler system, ensure scalability and performance of scheduler system are being always met and provide integration with other applications in Analytics ecosystem.

Specific objectives include:

* Work with development teams to create and implement migration strategies for PayPals workload automation applications
* Develop reporting solutions for analyzing jobs runs and batch environment to assist in validating job executions and keeping proper inventory of execution of scheduler jobs.
* Support triage of real time production incidents as well as root cause analysis of batch jobs that cause an impact in production environment.
* Manage upgrade or migration efforts related to existing jobs.
* Work with Job Scheduling team in development and provide training related to job standards and methods, escalation processes, and diagnostic approaches.
* Work with cross functional teams to develop API and application integration solutions

Requirements:

* BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
* Minimum 10 years working in a production 24 x 7 environment
* Minimum 5 years developing and supporting job schedules in a critical production environment
* Proficient in at least two scheduler platform technologies UC4, BMC Control-M, Airflow or Automatic Application Automation Engine administration
* Proven experience with large scale implementation around job scheduling design, implementation, QA and operational support
* Proven experience driving major system upgrades and adept in system capacity planning
* Superior problem-solving skills with emphasis on quick problem resolution
* Strong business process, analysis and problem diagnosis background is required
* Experience with computing infrastructure technologies, such as networking, UNIX & Windows operating systems and Oracle databases
* Python, CGI and Unix Scripting experience.
* Conversant with Big data technologies Teradata, Hadoop and SQL Oracle, My SQL
