The Financial Integrity and Insights team is responsible for systems that enable accounting and finance integrity and insights for PayPals money movements. We are looking for strong technical leader to lead and guide a team of strong engineers to solve engineering problems to scale this platform with core configurable capabilities.

The Financial Integrity and Insights team is responsible for the systems that enable accounting and finance integrity and insights for PayPals money movements. Other systems that are developed and supported by the team provide an ability to set up experiments in price sensitivity as well as suggest optimal pricing strategies based on historical data. This team is responsible for the design, development, and support of cash position and liability calculation for all PayPal Products and Flows. Our solutions need to scale across millions of such transactions, working with petabyte-plus data, integrating with various other APIs in real-time and yet providing high availability and configurable capabilities to the business. In PayPal, we develop massively scalable, distributed software systems that require high availability to our business. To achieve this we are always looking at advances in technology and science and tying those back to business needs. We are always looking for strong technologists who are passionate to solve large scale highly complex computer engineering problems, in a repeatable and maintainable way. You will build strong competencies in data structures and algorithms, along with a technical fascination for how everything ties together.

Typical responsibilities include:

* * Leading a team; Design, development, and testing of features/functions delivered.
* Collaborating with peers both within their team and across the organization.
* Working with product managers using agile methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
* Working with operations teams to ensure your applications and services are highly available and reliable.
* Supporting your applications and/or services as and when required.

Job Requirements:

* * 12+ years of experience in building scalable applications/products balancing consistency, resiliency and performance.
* Experience in the Financial Services/Banking domain is a plus.
* Experience in building enterprise application & platforms for E-commerce biz (micro services architecture, Java fundamentals & spring boot mandatory, data management and building high throughput pipelines)
* 4+ years of managing a team of Software Engineers
* Bachelors degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
* Work experience on databases (Oracle, Teradata) and SQL skills are mandatory
* Ability to lead, organize, and manage projects beginning to end that require coordinated efforts across multiple functions
* Ability to operate and thrive in a fluid, ever-changing environment. Proactive in approach with a focus on driving results and outcomes with multiple priorities and multiple stakeholders.
* Drive innovation and customer advocacy. Be a positive change agent with a can-do attitude.
* Prior success in hiring, mentoring, and developing highly effective Software Engineers and building high performing teams

* Skilled in providing technical leadership and architectural guidance
* Expertise in software development best practices
* Understanding of software development processes such as Agile
