Job Description:
The FP&A team is currently seeking a Manager Financial Planning & Analysis Business Information Services Group. The role will partner with the Senior Leadership team of Information Services (PIB), specifically focusing on managing the P&L for Factiva & Newswires as well as managing the Partnerships and Licensing revenue, including the royalties model. The successful candidate will help develop, communicate and monitor departmental budgets and forecasts, provide strong business partnership with deep analysis and decision support. The candidate will aid in assessing the financial impact of their recommendations and strategy including presenting business case models.
Responsibilities
* Ensure that accurate and timely monthly financial and quarterly results are provided
* Maintain a thorough understanding of the relevant drivers and trends, and explain/report these to senior management
* Ensure that accurate and timely monthly forecasts are provided
* Take ownership for project work from end to end (collection of data, creation of model/analysis of trends, identification of key issues, and turn this into a management level presentation) - to drive strategic decisions within the business
* Oversee and lead a team of analysts
* Develop detailed Financial models and analyses
* Report on the financial implications of business/strategic decisions
* Ensure that business support is given to Department Managers and strong business relationships are maintained
* Develop Corporate reporting and identify systems and data improvements
* Identify and address procedural problems/deficiencies impacting integrity and timeliness of financial/KPI information
Skills & Experience
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
* Demonstrated ability in managing multiple Senior Stakeholders within a medium to large organization
* Planning and organizational skills including effective time management
* Advanced excel and analytical skills a must
* Experience managing a team of analysts
* Ability to work under pressure
* CPA, MBA or Bachelors degree in accounting preferred
* 5-7 years of relevant Commercial Finance experience
