Subscriptions & Commerce Analyst

The Data Science & Analytics team at the New York Post is responsible for end-to-end data capture, analysis, and data productization. The team seeks an Analyst, Subscriptions and Commerce with at least three years of experience in a digital subscription or another relevant role.
Responsibilities
* Act as the analytics subject matter expert on all direct-to-consumer products, including subscriptions services, apps, direct product sales, and affiliate marketing partnerships
* Serve as a liaison between the data science and analytics team and our direct-to-consumer products by developing reporting systems that utilize multiple data sources and sharing insightful information between internal teams
* Gather and present data reports based on user behavior, with an emphasis on predictive analytics and insightful recommendations like propensity modeling, funnel analysis, campaign reporting, segmentation, churn reduction and acquisition optimization
* Collaborate with other teams on cross-promotional opportunities
* Support offer and price testing and analytics to inform models to maximize revenue
* Segment users to better understand consumer behavior
* Build reporting requirements, develop reports and provide insights on multichannel marketing techniques such as email marketing, social media, direct mail, push notifications, customized content recommendations, etc. to support and influence marketing campaigns
* Aid in converting passive readers into repeat active buyers for eCommerce
* Support prioritizing, executing and reporting on A/B testing for subscription marketing and affiliate marketing funnels
* Make recommendations for content and page optimizations that increase conversion rates
* Draw actionable insights to continuously improve our commerce contents effectiveness
* Help identify partnership opportunities based on positive data storytelling
* Effectively organize affiliate data for the commerce content creators to be able to easily see what drives results
Qualifications
* Ability to translate technical details into recommendations for non-technical audiences
* Experiencein digital subscription services or affiliate/ performance marketing is a plus
* Experience in data visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, Plotly, etc.
* Great Excel skills
* Experience in tools like Parse.ly, Trackonomics, CDP tools, a plus
* Knowledge of Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
* Proficiency in AB testing ideologies and tools like Optimizely and Zephr
* Interest in UX and how it influences consumer behavior and site interactions
* Experience in media, digital publishing, or digital marketing is ideal
* Knowledge of data science capabilities a plus, particularly for acquisition and churn modeling
* A detail-oriented work ethic
* A sense of curiosity about what makes audiences interact with digital content, a desire to experiment and innovate with existing tools, and a need to figure out whats next and plan for the future
