Dow Jones Product Strategy & Marketing team (PM) is responsible for managing product roadmap, collaborating on new product development and developing product positioning, packaging and the go-to-market strategy for MMS (Media & Marketing Sales), all in the service of driving revenue for the Wall Street Journal, Barrons Group at Dow Jones.

Within this context, the Product Marketing Manager (PMM) will lead PM efforts for our Live Journalism and B2B businesses by positioning, packaging, and collateral production for new and existing products; delivering those materials to sales; and, ensuring the MMS organization is aware of and understands the new product offerings and solutions.

The PMM will also supervise a PM Coordinator, ensuring they deliver projects on time, their quality of work, and foster an overall culture of growth and development.

Responsibilities

The Product Marketing Manager will add value to Dow Jones via 3 core responsibilities:

1) Position, package, and produce collateral for new and existing products under direction of Executive Director, Product Marketing Director. Key outputs include:

* General presentations (spotlight decks, event recaps)
* Sell sheets (e.g. one-sheets, placemats)

* Internal and external marketing communications (sales VP newsletters, Live Journalism event recaps)

* Training sessions (for internal sales and marketing teams on new products, event, and opportunities)

2) Contributing to the maintenance of an organized arsenal and effective internal communication channels to deliver these tools and resources to the global sales team

* Delivering key relevant updates during recurring meetings (e.g. MMS, MMSU, AMAs) and MMS-wide channels (e.g A-hed of the Curve Newsletter)

3) Providing product-specific expertise on sales calls (on an as-needed basis)

Success for this role will ultimately be measured by the Executive Director Product Marketing, the Ad Sales team, Live Journalism stakeholders, and finally, client satisfaction with the corresponding Product Marketing materials and services.

Skills & Experience

* 5-7 years marketing experience (preferred)
* Conferences/events marketing experience AND interest (required)

* Track record of translating strategic vision into results:

-Proven ability to manage project roadmaps and hit deadlines

-Successful materials development and packaging

-e.g. value proposition, go-to-market strategy

* Comfort working in highly-matrixed organizations
