Our team, based in NetApp's Pittsburgh Technology Center is pioneering the development of next generation of Scale-Out file systems to handle the exponential growth of data and the data intensive demands of more modern applications such as machine learning or artificial intelligence. This is your chance to work with a group of talented developers, impart your vision, and rapidly launch the latest storage software.

We are currently looking for an exceptional leader to add to our team. As a Software Engineering Manager you will be responsible for leading a blended team of Software Developers and QA Engineers. You will lead teams through design, implementation, and support of projects to solve our customers big data challenges. Throughout this process, you will also manage the growth and development of team members.

Desired Experience

- Experience with C/C++, Python, and Distributed Systems

- Experience delivering software in an Agile Organization

- Experience recruiting, mentoring, and developing engineers

- 6+ years of experience as an individual contributor.

- 2+ years of technical leadership and people management.

Education

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master Degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required.
