It is the primary responsibility of the Cook Helper to perform basic food preparation and operate a specific station with others or individually. Other responsibilities include receiving and disassembling orders from vendors and the warehouse. Other secondary duties include assisting the Utility Porters in maintaining the cleanliness of venue. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
As a Cook Helper, you will be responsible for being knowledgeable of food products. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
* Maintain solid knowledge of food products
* Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
* Regularly run for food and restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
* Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
* Assist the pantry worker, cook, master cook and chef as needed in execution of service
* Work as a team, assist guests and employees with their needs and inquiries
* Perform other job-related duties as requested
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Ability to apply basic knife skills for preparation
* Maintain a solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
* Communicate with management, chef and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees
* Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
* Able to take initiative and exhibit flexibility
* Highly motivated and energetic personality
* Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
PREFERRED:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Six (6) months of experience in basic food preparation
* Experience working in a similar resort setting
