Job Description

Spider supplies components to the assembly lines in a timely manner in order for the line to meet or exceed its takt time. They supply both finished products and sub-assembly components to the lines. They are required to locate the correct component parts in the supermarket that will be used on the line. A Spider must be trained to use a safety utility knife, be able to lift 42 pounds, maneuver a cart that transports the component parts to the line, and be able to read a picklist. The spiders position requires good eye & hand coordination. Spiders work in the assembly and sub-assembly areas that require job rotation among all lines. Spiders are required to read and understand Bill of Materials and Picklist. Each Spider is responsible for supporting the companys mission statement and the overall business objectives.
