We are looking for a Senior Vice President Specialty Analytics Solutions to join our office either in New York City or Chicago.
This position can also be a Vice President depending on the candidates background and experience.
What primary responsibilities can you expect?
* Support Marsh Specialty U.S. efforts to build analytics platforms for the U.S. Private Equity / Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) Team coordinating with business leaders and analytics colleagues on model construction.
* Collaborate with Marsh Specialty U.S. PEMA Team risk specialists regarding risk model outputs and how they are presented to Marsh professionals, clients, and prospects.
* Supervise a small team of analysts in the construction of the analytics platforms mentioned above, and in the preparation and delivery of results to clients using these platforms.

We will also count on you to:
* Drive engagement in fee-for-service analytics projects for U.S. PEMA Team clients and other Marsh USA clients.
* Support the performance and delivery of risk quantification, modeling, and simulation fee-for-service capabilities for Marsh USA clients, through collaboration with Analytics Solutions colleagues and peer review of their work.
* Support Marsh USA sales and client service both brokerage and consulting through results presentation, methodology explanation, and recommendations.
What you need to have:
* Undergraduate or graduate degree in Statistics (or Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related area with strong Statistics concentration).
* Strong casualty and actuarial analysis experience; FCAS or at minimum ACAS with intent to achieve FCAS.
* Expert level of proficiency with MS Excel (including VBA) and either the R or Python language (preferably both).
* Strong presentation skills and consulting project experience ability to translate results of data analysis into easily understandable recommendations for client risk decision-making.
* Strong project management and team leadership skills
* Knowledge of commercial insurance programs including specialty coverages applicable to private equity firms (management liability, E&O, etc.) and mergers / acquisitions (representations and warranties, etc.)
* At least 10 years of experience in the following areas:
* building risk models examples include traditional property and casualty risk modeling, financial or commodity modeling, and non-traditional enterprise risk modeling
* retail insurance or risk management industry experience (including actuarial or financial risk management experience)
* client-facing responsibilities project sales and results delivery
