As a part of our growth LKQ is looking for a dedicated Production Tech -- Line Loader (Smelter). The Production Tech will be responsible for removing and sorting various parts from wheels that will be used in production. The Production Tech will also be required to assist and/or operate the controls to ensure maximum equipment output. This position requires attention to detail in order to identify aluminum for steel, magnesium, clad and chrome wheels. This role would require compliance with established company policies and procedures.
Essential Job Duties:
* Remove and sort, wheel weights, valve stems, inserts, center caps, and any other material from wheels that will be used in production.
* Assist and/or operate the controls to ensure equipment is kept full to maximize equipment output.
* Identify aluminum from steel, magnesium, clad, and chrome wheels.
* Evaluate aluminum ingot and properly stack and package final product.
* Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
Education & Experience: None required however High school diploma or GED preferred
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds on a repetitive basis, up to 60 pounds occasional, in a dirty environment while standing and constant grasping, pushing, and pulling. On occasions may require working above ground level. Hearing protection, eye protection, and steel toe shoes are required. Depending on outdoor temperatures, summer months can be very warm and require frequent hydration.

• 2011 acquisition of Euro Car Parts Holdings Limited ("ECP"), a vehicle mechanical aftermarket parts distribution company operating in the United Kingdom. This acquisition allowed us to expand our operations into the European automotive aftermarket business.
• 2013 acquisition of Sator Beheer B.V. ("Sator"), a vehicle mechanical aftermarket parts distribution company based in the Netherlands, with operations in the Netherlands, Belgium and Northern France. This acquisition allowed us to further expand our geographic presence into continental Europe.
• 2014 acquisition of Keystone Specialty, which expanded our product offering and increased our addressable market to include specialty vehicle aftermarket equipment and accessories.
• On December 22, 2015, LKQ announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the holding company of Rhiag-Inter Auto Parts Italia
• S.p.A (“Rhiag”), a leading pan-European business-to-business distributor of aftermarket spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Rhiag has operations in Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland and Spain. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016 and is subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals.
