Your primary role will be to build network optimization models using LlamaSoft, gather and validate supply chain network & demand modelling data, run scenarios, and develop output reports as part of the network optimization initiatives. Projects could include distribution network design, transportation mode and routing optimization, inventory hub and spoke optimization, capacity planning, demand & forecast planning and other areas where simulation and modeling can bring significant improvements. This position will be the subject matter expert in the use of LlamaSoft Guru modeling and similar techniques. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to gain expertise in technical and functional area of supply chain optimization, and help build out our Llamasoft implementation into a formal Center of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1\. Work closely with the internal cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and transform network modelling data. Conduct ongoing network analysis using operations, supply chain, transportation, and logistics data and identify improvement opportunities.

2\. Design and build LlamaSoft optimization models according to business specifications. Own network modelling analysis and drive to completion with depth and/or breadth of expertise working independently.

3\. Develop comprehensive output reports from optimization scenarios and support network analytics improvement initiatives across logistics organization.

4\. Develop good understanding of current network design data, shipment data, transportation costs basis for various modes, planning data and other related business data critical for network modelling. Support the development of cost estimates and demand forecasts for logistics modeling and tracking.

Support process improvement projects resulting from network analytics to increase service performance and/or minimize costs. Project scope could be simple to moderate in complexity and grow with time

6\. Manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently and work well under tight timelines.

Requirements

* Minimum of bachelor's degree or equivalent from accredited university in business, logistics & supply chain management, operations research, statistics or related major

* 3-5 years of total experience in transportation, supply chain, logistics or related function.
* 2+ years of experience with LlamaSoft Supply Chain Guru.
* Good working knowledge of the principles of demand forecasting, network and transportation optimization and how optimization is performed using software packages such as LlamaSoft SC Guru.
* 2+ years of data mining, transformation and visualization tool experience (MS Access, Excel, SQL, IBM SPSS Modeler, Cognos and Data Guru etc.).
* ERP user experience preferred but not required.

•  On December 22, 2015, LKQ announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the holding company of Rhiag-Inter Auto Parts Italia
•  S.p.A (“Rhiag”), a leading pan-European business-to-business distributor of aftermarket spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Rhiag has operations in Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland and Spain. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016 and is subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals.
