Overview
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the day to day activities of the budgeting department along with corporate requirements and management reporting for the division; and assisting in all external reporting, including financial institutions,taxing authorities, owners and regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
* Prepare journal entries for deposits, sales, purchases, accruals, prepaid expense reclass, expense reclasses as needed, allocations, ACORE reclasses, CAP Interest Allocation
* AP coding/processing in MetaViewer
* Maintain option deposit spreadsheet and reconcile with stages
* Prepare/Update monthly reports purchases, homesite rollforward, notes receivable, capitalized land development spend
* Assist internal and external auditors as needed
* Assist in preparation and review of annual Business Plans and quarterly updates
* Other special duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
* Previous experience a plus
* Bachelors in Accounting or Finance preferred
* Advanced excel skills, JD Edwards and Essbase/Hyperion is a plus
