Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Supervisor Operational Accounting is to supervise the operational audits for all gaming, hotel, and complimentary revenues and ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory and The Venetian Resorts departmental standard operating procedure requirements. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Arrange timelines to complete tasks and department assignments or projects, and meet the deadlines related to those assignments.
* Assess, evaluate and review data to organize work in accordance with company guidelines.
* Assist in the preparation and submission of all month-end, quarter-end, and annual compliance requirements of the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB), Clark County, State of Nevada and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
* Ensure financial output documents, including reports to management, are accurate and timely in accordance with GAAP and LVSCs accounting policies.
* Ensure compliance with the property internal control standards, the established Minimum Internal Control Standards, and the regulations and statutes established by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
* Assist with preparing and submission of taxes and bad debt documentation for reporting as required.
* Assist the Operational Accounting Managers and the Controller to ensure the accuracy of gaming, non-gaming, and comp audits.
* Direct and supervise others in a task or assignment.
* Ensure timely, accurate completion of all assigned Blackline tasks or assignments.
* Ensure adequate coverage of the daily gaming and non-gaming audits.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
* Ensure daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual audits are completed in a timely manner so that identified issues are immediately resolved with the appropriate gaming and non-gaming departments.
* Evaluate information to render an opinion or act based on that information that will impact the department or function.
* Perform the timely, accurate and complete reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts that pertain to gaming and non-gaming audits.
* Prepare and submit the daily flash reports as assigned and ensure accuracy.
* Prepare the Daily Revenue Audit Journals (as assigned) for recording to the General Ledger.
* Prepare the Finance Team Members audit plan and schedules.
* Track time & attendance for Operational Accounting Team Members per Company policy.
* Preparing and/or reviewing all gaming and/or non-gaming revenue journals.
* Must be able to analyze balance sheet fluctuations, review profit & loss statements and provide pertinent information to upper management.
* Must be able to train, develop and motivate Team Members.
* Safety is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications:
* 21 years of age.
* Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
* 3 years audit experience.
* 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Exhibits outstanding leadership, prioritization, and time management skills.
* Proficient in Word and Excel.
* High ethical standards, level of commitment and ability to cope with complexity and change.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Working knowledge of Gaming/non-gaming audits and Statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Demonstrated experience in Creating Excel reports as needed with little to no supervision.
* Possess skills to hasten resolution, assess course of action, and implement or act based upon findings.
* Must possess strong time management skills, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
* Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
