Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Senior Manager Leisure Sales and Marketing Account is to develop, promote and contract leisure frequent individual traveler business to maximize hotel occupancy/revenues and average daily rates. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resorts policies, practices, and procedures

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with the Executive Director of Leisure Sales and Marketing to develop and execute sales and marketing plans including occupancy recovery programs that align with financial objectives throughout the year.
* Identify, negotiate and manage new partner contracts and co-op marketing opportunities as approved by management in order to maximize market share and achieve desired outcomes.
* Provide support to Leisure Sales and Marketing Managers based on extensive knowledge of market and collaborate sales and marketing plans aligning with the departments strategic objectives.
* Develop strategic suggestions to maximize revenue streams through partnerships to The Venetian Resort.
* Travel and make presentations throughout target markets to desired partners and agencies to ensure The Venetian Resort products, rate codes and offers are well known by agents and accurately displayed.
* Communicate updates, changes and offers related to The Venetian Resort and partnerships verbally and in writing as needed internally and externally.
* Manage within the defined sales roles, internal sales processes and company policies and procedures.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with all internal departments.
* Identify ways to improve business process and function for the benefit of the organization.
* Engage with cross functional departmental leaders and team members to develop and coordinate tactics.
* Manage and delegate tasks/responsibilities to the assigned Leisure Sales Coordinator to ensure highest level of account service business and support.
* Extensive travel and participation in sales calls, site inspections, FAM trips, entertainment, networking events, training (as assigned) midweek, evenings and weekends as needed.
* Support other members of the Leisure Sales Team as needed.
* Work within the defined sales process and CRM system.
* Focus on achieving the goals or objectives of the department using staff and budgetary resources.
* Evaluate the schedule or timelines related to the completion of assignments, while maintaining service and/or product quality.
* Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.

All Venetian Resort Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Companys standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.

Minimum Qualifications:

* 21 years of age.
* Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
* Bachelors Degree.
* Experience in Business, Marketing or Hospitality preferred.
* 4 years of work related experience in 5 star/luxury market, hotel sales, or product management through Wholesale, OTA or Travel Agency.
* Proficient in applications such as Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and Power Point.
* Experience with Synxis, HBSI and Sabre preferred.
* Established relationships with account decision makers preferred.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
* Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to:

* Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
* Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
* Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
* Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
* Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
* Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
* Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
