Job Title: Human Factors Engineer The Customer Interaction and Experience Development (CIED) team ensures that all aspects of the static vehicle experience fully meet customer expectations. The role of Human Factors Engineer within Customer Validation involves following programs from early inception until post launch ensuring standards and experiences that delight customers are delivered. Responsibilities: Represent the voice of the customer while analyzing traditional and non-traditional data sources. Formulate a CIED customer point of view for corporate and competitive products to understand customer impressions and desires. Prepare CIED quality program deep dives and provide recommendations and roadmap actions for customer sentiment improvements. Lead customer data science projects to acquire and process customer feedback. Compile benchmark results and customer feedback into useful reports. Assist in developing program targets, assumptions and new vehicle features by identifying customer needs and wants through the use of detailed benchmarking and the application of ergonomic, harmony and stowage standards and principles. Validate user interface designs of Client and Lincoln vehicles to ensure they are usable, intuitive and support the key "Moments That Matter" experiences for the customer. Raise customer usage concerns by leading cross-functional static reviews, ensuring designs are compatible with customer wants, attribute targets, corporate requirements, service, assembly, etc. Utilize production intent prototypes to evaluate instrument cluster, steering wheel, centerstack infotainment systems, and other mobility related customer touch points. Participate in user research and conduct clinics to assess usability of various HMI and cockpit proposals. Clinics are a combination of virtual and in person events. Occasional travel may be required*.
