What you will do:
The System Administrator I will perform duties related to security system operations in a variety of deployments. He/she will understand, utilize and promote security system protocols and processes in the performance of their duties. He/she will regularly interact and collaborate with IT professionals on networking issues and must understand basic networking technologies. He/she must exhibit a Customer service aptitude and attitude and utilize effective communication skills when interacting with all levels of system users.
How you will do it:
Performs duties as defined by client for specific role within clients program structure
Configure, operate and maintain security systems, including:
Database(s)
Application Software: Features, Functionality, Reports and Badges
Operating Systems
Implement scripts interfacing security systems and other organizational database(s).
Develop and deliver training for system operators
Support projects involving security system configuration, implementation, and commissioning
Assist and advise field technical personnel on specific system response and operational theory
Assist field technical personnel with troubleshooting and commissioning duties
Perform as System Operator in daily operations
Establish, maintain and support advanced network functionality related to security systems
Support the IT functionality through close coordination with internal/external IT/Network providers
What we look for:
3+ years experience with computers at the operating system level
3+ years experience in database administration
Knowledge of spread sheet and word processing computer applications
Knowledge of and at least 1+ years experience with current network technology, telecommunications, and relay logic
Must be able to read, understand, and apply technical manuals, plan drawings, and schematics
Ability to function as an effective team member and interact at all levels and across diverse cultures
Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision
Strong customer and results orientation
Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves
Ability to effectively train and supervise Security System Operators
3+ years experience with security system hardware components.
Advanced level access control and/or video system experience and certification
Operator experience on each of the following systems: enterprise level access control, video processing, and intrusion
System Administration experience in access control application software
