Senior SAP FI/CO Implementer

Job Description

The SAP FI/CO Implementer is a key person on the Product Development (PD) team and needs to be involved throughout the roll-out development cycle. The Implementer will have prime responsibility for designing, developing, implementing and controlling FI/CO inbound and outbound interfaces between IPG SAP system to third party system to meet global and local legal/business requirements. The candidate should have professional service industry experience ideally in advertising, media and digital services. SAP FI/CO experience with interface (inbound and outbound to SAP) build functional experience is required. She/he will lead on all aspects of interface designing, developing and deployment activities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The individual will serve as a liaison between the IPG Agencies, IPG Global Shared Services and external financial advisers, and work closely with the SAP product design and deployment teams with responsibilities for the following:

* Defining the business requirements by:
* Must have experience with Interface (Inbound/Outbound to SAP) builds / Functional Localization
* Creating use cases, requirements and process flows
* Participating in the creation of Business Solution Document (BSD) covering current state, future state,mapping to Vantage processes and creating SDD (Solution Design Document)
* Helping determine highest priority requirements for the group and managing expectations related to any changes to those priorities/requirements
* Participating in the review and prioritisation of business enhancement requests for potential inclusion in subsequent product releases.
* Taking a leading role in resolution of escalated financial accounting support tickets
* Validating that the solution meets the global and local legal/business requirements
* Documenting integrated business scenarios and creating test scripts
* Testing Interfaces and enhancements either through scheduled integration testing (via standard scripts) or on an ad-hoc basis for break-fix items, ensuring an adequate level of regression testing is performed
* Participating in the deployment of the SAP enhancements and break-fix items to user base, including providing hands-on training where required
* Participating as necessary in the deployment of the Vantage template to IPG agencies including:
* Participating and presenting in agency deployment workshops
* Mapping of existing business processes to Vantage template process
* Identifying change management issues
* Validation of organization structure requests and any system gaps identified
* Post go-live support
* Basic responsibility for designing, developing, implementing and controlling FICO module areas (including interfaces) using IPG templates ensuring all core FI/CO business requirements are maintained, new business needs are proactively supported, and new SAP functionality delivers business benefits
* Develop scope of work and functional specification documents.
* Liaise with other team members to maintain and apply coherent, optimized, integrated, and standardized processes
* Coordinate and attend meetings with clients and managers to define requirements and project goals for development staff.
* Support the entire implementation effort during all project stages, ensuring that in areas of assigned responsibility milestones and related sign-offs are achieved on a timely basis and in accord with current project plan
* Monitor progress of all FICO tasks against project plan
* Actively promote the global template approach within the organization
* Involvement in SAP R/3 demonstrations as required
* Understand the business users' requirements for information document and communicate them to the rest of the project team.
* Responsible for organizing meetings and producing minutes, and is usually the facilitator of these meetings.
* Coordinate and produce all documents necessary to complete unit, system, QA and end user testing. Includes development of use cases, test plans, defect tracking.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

* Should have strong accounting background and knowledge.
* Strong business process knowledge and expertise in FI/CO area including handling of inbound and outbound interfaces.
* At least 10 years of strong SAP hands on configuration/technical experience in FI/CO and designing interfaces
* Excellent in-depth technical knowledge coupled with extensive hands-on experience of configuring and delivering business solutions in FICO areas Key strengths should be in the, Interfaces (Inbound and Outbound) area.
* Good understanding of the integration points between the FICO and PS/SD/MM Modules.
* Experience of working with middleware products (BIZTALK) for handling interfaces.
* Experience of designing FICO processes for a Global Shared Service Organization
* Experience in implementing SAP for Global environment with multiple countries Localization experience
* Prior experience of adapting SAP to a Service sector environment
* Ability to analyze complex business scenarios and present a concise recommendation for resolution
* Ability to translate the business requirement to technical requirements vice versa and effectively communicate to a broad audience
* A self starter who holds themselves to high standards and is able to work with minimal direct supervision
* Ability to manage a process in a matrixed organization where individuals that you are relying on do not report directly to you
* Strong communicator; in writing as well as in presenting to senior leadership and IPG Agencies
* Working Knowledge of using BAPIs/IDOCs/BADIs for FICO enhancements/interfaces and custom developments.
* CPA or equivalent accounting educational qualification is preferred.
