Your Role and Responsibilities
Join our data layer team to work on the transformation of our existing traditional data warehouse into a state-of-the-art enterprise data lake. You will work with experienced data engineers transforming data from a broad range of sources across the IBM Cloud platform (technical, financial, etc.) to make it usable for executive decisions, predictive analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
You will focus on implementing a serverless event-driven ETL/ELT data pipeline by using serverless cloud components like IBM Cloud Functions, Code Engine, Event Streams, IBM SQL Query, Cloud Object Storage, and Db2 Warehouse on Cloud. A further focus is on building a framework to manage and monitor these data pipelines to ensure operational excellence.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* Minimum 3 years of experience in object-oriented programming concepts (Strong understanding)
* Minimum 3 years of experience with one of the following programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python, Node.JS
* 3 or more years of experience with Python and Jupyter notebooks ideally in a data science project
* 3 or more years of experience with SQL
* 3 or more years of experience with REST APIs and JSON
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Desired study path is Master of Data Science or Computer Science
* Optional experience with (3 years of experience preferred):
* Optional: Experience in data streaming platforms like Kafka
* Optional: Cloud-based application development and CICD pipelines
* Optional: Experience in asynchronous and event-driven programming concepts
* Optional: Experience in serverless application development
