Consumer Product Marketing Manager, Reels (Instagram)

Job Description

Reels is a new way to create and discover short, entertaining videos on Instagram. Instagram is looking for a Consumer Product Marketing Manager to join the Reels team. This role will partner with product teams to develop new features that inspire people to create and share Reels. From defining positioning, competitive analysis, and integrated go to market plans, you will help develop some of the most important features on Instagram, and inspire our community to learn and use them. The ideal candidate can drive both strategy and execution, cares deeply about Instagrams mission, and is interested in thinking about the role short video is playing in peoples daily life. They are analytical and creative, highly collaborative, and will have a successful track record of launching and scaling consumer products. They will have a track record for influencing the product roadmap, successfully representing the consumer across the product lifecycle, and leading complex cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization.

Consumer Product Marketing Manager, Reels (Instagram) Responsibilities

* Define most critical questions to understand for consumers, and partner with research and data teams to generate break-through consumer and competitive insights, and turn insights into an actionable strategy and plan

* Create strong product positioning that resonates with key target audiences to influence and inform the development and marketing of new Reels features

* Develop and drive execution of creative and culturally relevant go-to-market plans for new features of all sizes in partnership with cross-functional teams such as product, communications, brand marketing, partnerships, and creator marketing

* Build relationships with product and business partners to influence and align plans and objectives, in order to drive impact for product and consumer audiences on cross-company initiatives

* Organize and manage operations for multiple work streams, deadlines, and meetings for large cross-functional teams to drive execution

Minimum Qualifications

* 7+ years of experience launching and growing consumer products for global consumer brands

* BA/BS degree

* Marketing experience working across complex product launches

* Experience communicating to diverse internal and external audiences

* Analytical and problem-solving skills

* Experience partnering with cross-functional teams

* Project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

* International experience and knowledge of diverse cultural, social and business landscapes

* Short form video experience, experience working on product at the intersection of trends, culture, music, and creators
