Job Description

Facebook is seeking a Privacy Policy Manager to join our Global Public Policy team supporting the Chief Privacy Officer. In this role, you will draft policy briefing materials and analytical memos that are substantively strong and clearly communicated; manage preparation for a variety of internal and external workshops and events, including panels, and meetings; and assist with internal planning and operations of the Global Privacy & Data Use Policy team. You will work as part of a dynamic team working to address unprecedented global privacy and data policy challenges. A successful Privacy Policy Manager will be organized, able to shift seamlessly between strategic counsel and drafting communications. You should be a team player and eager to work in a fast-paced, high expectations environment, and passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve.

Privacy Policy Manager, Policy Planning Responsibilities

* Work across teams to prepare briefs for external and internal engagements, and coordinate follow-ups

* Draft and edit policy briefing materials and public remarks on privacy policy issues, working closely with experts across the company

* Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams to understand incorporate different perspectives and priorities

* Advise on strategic decisions and drive progress on priority team work streams and goals

* Ensure coordination and integration of Privacy & Data Use policy issues with longer-term global public policy and company objectives

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree with 6+ years of experience in tech policy and regulatory affairs (3+ years with advanced degree)

* Experience and appreciation for drafting both short and long-form communications

* Experience in preparing presentations for executives

* Experience with collaboration and project management

Preferred Qualifications

* JD or MPP degree

* Experience with running an internal communications program

* Experience with strategy, planning, management consulting, research, or operations
