Job Description

Business Marketing Research and Intelligence (BMRI) team functions as a center of excellence for research and insights in Global Business Marketing (GBM). The team is a strategic partner uncovering human truths through research and analysis, marketing intelligence, and actionable insights, to build concrete knowledge to inform marketing and sales strategy and activations. BMRI team seeks for an accomplished and intellectually curious research professional who will play a critical role in standing up and accelerating Foresight practice through primary research that uses data and insights to inform and build original content strategies. Foresight practice paints a picture of the world 3-5 years from now to help accelerate businesses' leap into the future. Our aim is to inspire the industry to think differently through bold revelations that go beyond conventional wisdom stemming from Facebooks unique position and perspective on the world. This person will drive research initiatives that explore key consumer, cultural and business shifts at the intersection of connection and technology. Ideal candidate is a good mix of a researcher with strong methodological rigor, future thinker, culture and tech lover, and a strategist. They will be able to spot emerging and potential long term trends and establish a research program that generates credible insights. A detective who has instincts in what questions to ask, when to look for more information, what information to look for, how to look for it, and can quickly recognize if given data is useful or meaningless. A storyteller who can logically connect complex or unrelated ideas. They know when and how to use qualitative and quantitative data and can effectively communicate this to a variety of executive, technical, and non-technical audiences. They are flexible as a member and leader of interdisciplinary teams where collaboration is imperative.

Foresight Research Manager, Business Marketing Research and Intelligence Responsibilities

* In partnership with the Foresight program lead and the team, identify and build research projects that focus on discovering and providing deep understanding of relevant consumer and business future trends

* Develop and manage all aspects of research projects. Responsibilities include ideation, logistics, research, data synthesis and analysis, storyboarding, final report or deliverable, and communication

* Regularly package and present research, learnings and insights to position the organization and key executives with a unique and meaningful point of view

* Work to scale insights across teams and geographies by partnering internally and externally

Minimum Qualifications

* 10+ years of experience working in thought leadership research & insights, either in-house or at an agency

* Track record of identifying research opportunities, designing and managing research, and distilling insights from research that drive actions, with focus on foresight and future trends

* Experience in methodological rigor and expertise in various primary research techniques (both quantitative and qualitative)

* Experience as a natural collaborator who excels at establishing trusted relationships with core working teams as well as broader cross functional organizations across all levels, including senior stakeholders

* Proven communications skills with all levels of the organization including senior executives

* Proven project management discipline

* Experience multi-tasking and be focused in a fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

* Work experience in both research supplier/advertising agency and client sides

* High Tech industry working experience strongly preferred

* Experience communicating to audiences

* Advanced statistical analysis skills. Proficiency in R, Python, or SPSS
