DICKS Sporting Goods is now hiring a full-time Quality Control Associate to join our distribution center team in Goodyear, AZ for 2nd shift and we are hiring immediately!
Quality Control Associate Teammates at the DICKS Sporting Goods Distribution Center conducts audits in order to ensure accuracy & compliance throughout the processing & support areas of the distribution center. responsible for chargebacks and capturing vendor errors (QA & QC position is one in Goodyear within the Goodyear Distribution Center.
2nd Shift Available:
Monday - Thursday (3:30pm - 2:15am
Essential Functions include:
* Verifies that MHE label application is correct to standards
* Audits outbound processing totes for accuracy
* Completes carton audits at shipping to identify correct pallet placement & store location
* Complete trailer audits
* Audit OSO packets to ensure correct paperwork is being provided to Receiving. Audit back stock locations to ensure correct product is in location. Audit store to store transfers to ensure correct product is being transferred
* Search building for vendor compliance issues
* Other audits & duties as assigned

Qualifications
Success Profile
* Must achieve equipment operator certification on the job and operate as necessary for the position
* Must be willing to be trained and operate radio frequency (RF scanning equipment as necessary for the position
* Must pass a background check and drug screen
* Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull & lift cartons/bins weighing approximately 10-50 pounds repetitively
* Ability to keep pace with production standards
* Basic reading comprehension and numerical reasoning skills
* Manual dexterity
* Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
* Must feel comfortable reporting errors to department Supervisor (interact & defend position
* Proficient in WMS, PMMS

The Story begins ...
DICK’S Sporting Goods was founded in 1948 when an 18 year-old Dick Stack was working at an Army surplus store in Binghamton, New York. An avid fisherman, Dick was approached by the store owner to come up with a list of products needed to get into the fishing tackle business. After Dick presented his suggestions, the owner told him he was a dumb kid and had no idea what he was doing. Dick was upset and promptly quit. He went to his grandmother’s house where he spent a lot of time as a kid and told her what had happened.
Dick’s grandmother asked how much it would cost to build the store himself. Dick said it would cost $300. His grandmother then went to the cookie jar where she kept her life savings and gave him $300 and told him “do it yourself.” Dick used that money and his relentless work-ethic to open a bait-and-tackle shop in Binghamton. By the late 1970's, he expanded his product line to include much of what you’ll find at DICK’S Sporting Goods today.
