Description
This position is responsible for supporting the development and execution of marketing plans and customer communications that drive engagement through our loyalty program. This includes ScoreCard and ScoreCard Gold across all of our brands (DICKS Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Field & Stream and any new programs or brands that we launch in the future. This position is also responsible for the daily operations of our gift card program. The Loyalty Marketing Planner is responsible for the coordination of internal stakeholders and campaign timelines for all assigned program tasks . This includes partnering with Category Marketing, Channel Planning/Media, Creative, Legal, Analytics, Customer Service, Store Operations, eCommerce, Community Marketing, Visual Merchandising and Technology teams to achieve strategic objectives and drive business outcomes.
Assist in the development and execution of Loyalty Marketing Plans across all DICKS Brands
* Supports the development and leads the execution of the annual marketing plans for all loyalty programs across all brands.
* Responsible for management and communication of monthly marketing/content calendar
* Maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with appropriate teams to identify and execute engaging loyalty campaigns and communications.
* Develop effective and clear creative templates/briefs for email and direct mail channels to ensure campaigns are on target and deliver against business needs.
* Partner with project management leads to ensure projects are on track; identify risks, mitigate issues and identify solutions to problems as they arise.
* Review all loyalty marketing for accuracy and ensure it aligns with the stated business objective and is consistent with loyalty branding guidelines.
* Monitor and manage in-store signage inventory across all DICKS brands/store locations, including new store Grand Openings.
* Responsible for all field communications across all loyalty programs.
* Assist in the forward thinking of loyalty marketing and identify testing opportunities.
* Support the development and execution of the vendor partnership program
* Collaborate with Loyalty Planner - Credit as needed and as related to ScoreCard initiatives.
* Maintains strong knowledge of target customer and reviews industry loyalty activity to generate prospective ideas and monitor competitive offerings.
* Facilitate, resolve, and escalate questions and issues accordingly.
Manage the daily operations and execution of Gift Card Marketing Plans.
* Supports the development and execution of annual gift card marketing plans to drive both internal and third party gift card program growth.
* Monitor gift card inventory across all stores and manage the execution of card replenishment orders, including artwork review and card data testing
* Facilitate, review and execute all gift card marketing collateral (including in-store signage, ensuring it is effective and accurate for both internal campaigns and in third party incremental marketing opportunities.
* Tracks and reviews performance of incremental placement in the third-party channel to generate prospective ideas for future campaigns.
* Assist in enhancing vision and strategy for gift card program by identifying areas of opportunity for testing.
Support Loyalty & Credit Budgets
* Support ongoing tracking of actual spend versus budget for assigned projects, while identifying opportunities to support marketing efforts/initiatives.
* Compile montly Credit invoice files and submit to Credit partner for reimbursement.
Support Grand Opening Loyalty Acquisition
* Coordinates loyalty acquisition events with Community Marketing partners.
* Manages the execution of Grand Opening offers through internal systems.
* Collaborate with category marketing to effectively communicate loyalty acquisitions through owned channels.
* Consumes and undersands results of Grand Opening loyalty acquisition events and shares with key stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Marketing or Business-related degree
* 3-5 years of experience

The Story begins ...
DICK’S Sporting Goods was founded in 1948 when an 18 year-old Dick Stack was working at an Army surplus store in Binghamton, New York. An avid fisherman, Dick was approached by the store owner to come up with a list of products needed to get into the fishing tackle business. After Dick presented his suggestions, the owner told him he was a dumb kid and had no idea what he was doing. Dick was upset and promptly quit. He went to his grandmother’s house where he spent a lot of time as a kid and told her what had happened.
Dick’s grandmother asked how much it would cost to build the store himself. Dick said it would cost $300. His grandmother then went to the cookie jar where she kept her life savings and gave him $300 and told him “do it yourself.” Dick used that money and his relentless work-ethic to open a bait-and-tackle shop in Binghamton. By the late 1970's, he expanded his product line to include much of what you’ll find at DICK’S Sporting Goods today.
