Job Description

Assesses potential application of company products to meet customer needs pre and/or post-sales and prepares detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions in alignment with manufacturer stated specifications. Creates detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. Builds mini-applications with process simulation, often requiring rapid software modeling and/or product demo/training (at conferences, seminars, trade shows, or customer sites) for customer. May assist with optimizing products to meet customer needs and workflow requirements.

Main role / Job Objective:

The Application Training Specialist trains system operators on the Esko Packaging software products, in different delivery methods: classroom (currently approx. 20%), on site (currently approx. 80%) and e-training. He/she will also be responsible to install and configure the Esko Packaging Software Solutions at customer sites. Candidates must have 1-2 years knowledge of Automation Engine and other Esko products.

Main responsibilities and key activities:

* Training the customer operators to make efficient use of their Esko Packaging solution, either in one of our training centers or at the customers site (in their production environment).
* Install and configure Esko Packaging software solutions at customer sites.
* Help the customer to integrate the system in their existing workflow. This includes:
* System setup & configuration
* Defining and setting up the necessary production workflows
* Report and follow-up on activities.
* Keep your own knowledge up to date by attending courses, self-study and in-depth preparation.
* Make software Preventive Maintenance visits (if applicable).
* Keep track of reporting, such as training and service reports and expenses.
* Provide input to define the content of training programs based on customer feedback.
* Provide suggestions to help improve the quality of training material and training courses, certification and e-learning.
* Uncover any possible sales leads.

As an ideal candidate you will possess:

* Degree in Packaging or similar experience in the industry
* Good understanding of Packaging design industry.
* Must be able to travel up to 75%
* Knowledge of the Esko Packaging software solutions is preferred (Automation Engine, Imaging Engine, Deskpack tools, Esko Editors and WebCenter)
* Familiar with the Esko hardware products.
* Basic understanding of graphical processes and software applications
* Strong communication, listening, teaching and facilitation skills.
